Pocket Life Sketch Friday

Hi everyone! It is Pocket Life Friday. New starting today is a weekly giveaway associated with completing a PL page using the sketches we provide. (See details below.)

We just wrapped up one week, 7 full days, of celebrating (inter)National Scrapbook Day over on the Citrus Twist Kits Fan Page at Facebook. Yesterday's challenge inspired me to create these two pages for my Pocket Life. The challenge was to use these elements:

  • the color gold
  • wood chips
  • create a PL card using stamping

I worked with the May Pocket Life and Main kits, available here, combining some favorites from both kits. The 6 x 6 Crate Paper Journey paper from the PL kit brought back favorite memories of time spent at my parents' place in Montana and my daughter--just this past week--had written a poem for her language arts class called Where I'm From. In it, she mentioned time spent at her grandparents.

Here is the result:

Here are your sketches for the week:

And here are 3 close-ups:

This close-up is the PL card I made using stamping. I pulled from an assortment of Citrus Twist Kits stamps and stamped around the letter M (that was fussy-cut from a piece of Journey paper):

Thanks for visiting Pocket Life Friday, where every week we share PL sketches and a chance to win a piece of weekly fun mail. For your chance to win, create a layout based on the sketches in this blog post, post your layout to our Gallery or our Facebook Fan Page by Friday, May 15th. Be sure to include PL 5/8 in your title!
